The city will host its fourth annual “Clean Sweep” from April 16 through April 24 — the week of Earth Day.
Volunteers will receive patches, a recognition from Mayor Mark Lauretti, and the general satisfaction that comes from making their community a better place.

A clean-up “event” can range from a one-person clean-up of a street, a private Scouting Troop cleaning a park, or a group effort looking for more public participation.

Last year, the city had 57 registered clean-ups, where volunteers removed everything from car parts to baby strollers.
