Citing strong support of its priorities for people and their health, the Clean Water Action organization has endorsed Theresa Conroy (D‑Seymour) for re-election Nov. 8 in the 105th Assembly District.
Conroy, an advanced practice registered nurse, is running for a third consecutive term, and fourth overall, in the 105th District, which is composed of parts of Seymour, Derby and Beacon Falls.
“Representative Theresa Conroy has been strong champion for Clean Water Action’s priorities, most notably in support of bills to protect the health of children and families by identifying chemicals of concern and recently as a co-sponsor on a bill to protect children, families and firefighters from toxic chemical flame retardants. Representative Conroy is also a strong supporter of protecting the environment and particularly concerned about fracking waste,” the organization said in a statement.
“I am thrilled and proud to receive the endorsement of Clean Water Action, a very important non-profit organization devoted to the environment and the health of all people in our state,” Conroy said. “Clean Water Action is committed to protecting our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life. I not only support but also applaud its efforts to keep us safe.”
