Community Dinner To Be Held in Ansonia

Master’s Table and Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia will co-sponsor a Winter Community Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The dinner is planned to raise money to start Master’s Table, a project to feed those in need in the Ansonia/Derby area.

The dinner will be held at Christ Episcopal Church at 56 South Cliff St. The cost of the dinner will be a monetary donation of your choice. All donations will benefit the start up of Master’s Table.

In the event of a snow storm or bad weather the event will be moved to Sunday Feb. 13.

Master’s Table is a grassroots project based out of Ansonia, whose founder is James Fedak Jr.

His goal is to become a non-profit organization to help feed those in need in the Ansonia/Derby area.

Fedak said he feels that this is something that is greatly needed in the Valley community.

Every day I see a need for a community soup kitchen, especially now during the great difficult times that we are all facing. There aren’t enough soup kitchens or food pantries in the area to keep up with the need,” Fedak said in a press release.

This is the second community dinner that Master’s Table is having and based on the success of the first event we are able to provide another hot meal to anyone who attends. If this event continues to generate a great response it will help Master’s Table obtain its goal to provide many more meals in the future.

The dinner will consist of meatloaf, potatoes, roll, dessert and drinks.

It is because of many local businesses as well as individuals that are making these dinners possible.

All are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
