Celebrate Shelton will present an Official Community Tree Lighting Saturday, Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Park, 83 Canal St. East.
Caroling with Center Stage, hot cocoa and sweets by the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley and Santa Claus will be there for everyone!
Celebrate Shelton’s Downtown Handmade Market, a five-date vendor festival, will continue on Dec. 6, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Conti Building at 415 Howe Ave.
More than 45 handmade artisans will be highlighted throughout the market weeks, as well as a featured Kid’s Day on Dec. 13. Admission is free.
Stop down early and shop local before visiting with Santa!
The tree lighting is sponsored by the City of Shelton, Webster Bank, Valley Community Foundation and Center Stage.
A huge special thank you to Jones Family Farms. All children are encouraged to create their own handmade ornaments to hang on the tree with their families on the evening of the lighting.
