Connecticut Artist's Work To Be Displayed At Plumb Memorial Library

SHELTON – Peter McKinney is a lifelong resident of Connecticut. His work will be on display at the Plumb Memorial Library from 7/1/25 – 9/30/25.

McKinney is a construction worker by day, and an artful creator in his leisure time. He loves traditional 35mm film photography as well as other forms of visual arts. Some of his favorite artists are Ansel Adams, Edgar Degas, and Norman Rockwell. He creates art as a form of meditation to help him focus and release tension. He finds working with pastels and other mediums to be therapeutic. He creates what he feels, whether it be hope or heartache. He has included angels and wings after suffering a personal loss. He uses art as a way to promote healing and hopes that others will benefit as well.

Pieces can be viewed upstairs in the Gallery as well as in the Meeting Room on the lower level.

Plumb Memorial Library is located at 65 Wooster Street, Shelton, CT. Ourphone number is 203 – 924-1580.
