State Republicans nominated Bob Stefanowksi to challenge incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont, who was formally nominated by Democrats for another term.
The GOP nominated former state House minority leader and Valley native Themis Klarides for U.S. Senate, though CT News Junkie reports a Republican primary is happening. Klarides, born and raised in Seymour, is challenging incumbent U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, whose Democratic Party also nominated for another term.
Republicans nominated Lesley DeNardis to challenge 16-term Democratic incumbent U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, who is scheduled to nominated again at a convention scheduled for Monday in Shelton.
