Cultural Story Hour In Ansonia

Local author Francisco Soto read to children in Spanish Wednesday at a cultural story hour hosted by the Ansonia Library and the Ansonia Cultural Commission.

Soto read from his book, The Three Kings Arrive in Connecticut.

It was a great victory to bring such a wonderful cultural story time to the children of Ansonia.

We had over 40 children from Pendergast school arrive to enjoy this event with us, along with other members of the community and beyond.

Contributed PhotoWe had Dr. Fransisco Soto reading to the children in Spanish while I volunteered to read the English version of his book with much honor.

The National Spanish Honor Society teens were there to perform and made the characters of the book come alive.

I am very happy we were able to bring The Puerto Rican Culture to the Ansonia Publlic Library.

Each teacher and the children’s librarian Janet Fitol were presented with an autographed book.
