U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro is scheduled to knock on doors this weekend with fellow Democrats Kara Rochelle and Jorge Cabrera.
DeLauro will join the candidates 11:30 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 30) at 150 Main St. in Ansonia, the Democratic headquarters this year.
Campaign volunteers will gather to listen to remarks from DeLauro and the two candidates. Afterward, the trio and volunteers will be door knocking to spread the word about the candidates.
Rochelle is running to represent the 104th district in the state House of Representatives. She’s being supported by Linda Gentile, the current state representative for the 104th who is stepping down this year.
Her Republican opponent is Joseph Jaumann, an Ansonia Alderman.
