Job experience that could help you be an Alderman/Alderwoman? Why are you running for the Derby Board of Aldermen/Alderwomen?

As an incumbent presently serving on the Board of Aldermen/Alderwomen, I believe my professional background, community and public service, and tireless work ethic attribute to my strong commitment and ability to serve the citizens of Derby. Further, I take great pride in my outstanding attendance at meetings, as well as my skill to inquire into issues in advocating to make Derby a better place to work, live and play. Lastly, I just love Derby.”

In your personal opinion, what are the two biggest challenges facing the City of Derby?

First, I believe the need and ability to recognize and sustain the economic, financial and sociological impact on our citizens living here as a result of the way the City of Derby governs.

Second, it is important for the City of Derby to strive to maintain a reputation of accountability, transparency and commitment along with instilling pride in our community for the betterment of our residents as a whole, especially our youth.”
