DERBY — The Derby Cultural Commission (DCC) in partnership with the City of Derby, is excited to announce that the Annual Derby Day, will be held on Saturday, September 9th, on the Derby Green from 12 AM — 6PM. The traditional dates were given much consideration; however, heat, vendor availability and Derby student availability were factors that brought about the change.
The goal of Derby Day is to bring our Community together AND showcase local artists, celebrate culture, support fun for Children and good entertainment for all.
Festival programming will be inclusive of all demographics, showcasing cultural music, exhibits from civic groups and business, art from local residents, and hands-on artifacts from historical groups.along with the very-much appreciated, craft and food vendors, many of our wonderful non-profit groups and support to our Downtown Restaurants. All Vendors will be on or around the Derby Green.
A new feature is the “International Cultural Fashion Show” where Derby residents/families can don their native apparel on the runway with music. Families may wish to speak on their culture and showcase an artifact/heirloom.
Children’s activities will be offered on the safety of the Derby Green including a Jousting Inflatable, arts/crafts, face painting, games,petting zoo and more.
VENDORS please send the following information to [email protected] by Wednesday, May 1st, 2023. Your full name, The Name of Your Organization, Individual or Business Contact information, phone number, email address and proposed involvement (Stage Show, Exhibit, Booth, or Activity) with a short description detailing any important specifics. You will then be emailed the “Derby Day ‘Application Package.’ to complete and submit to us. A Program and Map will follow. The vendor fee will be $70.00 per table & $45 for non-profits.
IMPORTANT:There will be NO late Registrations for early Vendor Map Public.
REGIS. DEADLINE: Thursday, August 25, 2023 at 5 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
We need to Send Map of Booth locations to Vendors well in advance.
