Recently at a quiet ceremony at the Derby Elks Lodge #571 located on Elizabeth Street, Markanthony Izzo (center) of Derby received an Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award from the Valley Lodge #571 and the Grand Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. The tribute is awarded to a citizen for “Outstanding and Meritorious Service to Humanity.” The presentation was made by Past Exalted Ruler of the Derby Lodge Tony Gorlewski on the left and Exalted Ruler-Elect Jerry Coolidge of the Derby Lodge on the right.
