Derby Legal Notice: Proposed Changes To The City Charter

Election Day is Nov. 8, 2016.

The voters of the City of Derby will be asked to vote on two questions regarding the revisions to the Charter of the City of Derby at the Nov. 8, 2016 regular election.

This red-lined version is being published in accordance with State Statute 7 – 191 (d) with the proposed additions and deletions to the Charter.

Voters will be asked to vote on the following questions as approved by the Board of Aldermen:

Question 1

Shall the Charter of the City of Derby be revised in accordance with the report and recommendations of the Charter Revision Commission of 2016, excluding that change identified in #2?

Yes No

Question 2

Shall Section 14 of the Charter of the City of Derby entitled Dual office holding, etc.” be deleted in accordance with the report and recommendation of the Charter Revision Commission of 2016 regarding said section?

Yes No
