DERBY — The following information was sent by the Derby Police Department:
The 2021 Derby-Shelton Memorial Day Parade will be on Monday, May 31 starting at 9 a.m.
The parade will start in Shelton, come across the Derby-Shelton bridge, and travel up Elizabeth Street ending at St. Mary’s Church.
Be advised many downtown roads will be shut down and traffic will be significantly delayed.
Those traveling Route 34 (east bound) from the Seymour area will be detoured up Cedric Ave. Signs will be posted to follow detoured routes.
Please be prepared, patient, and plan for an alternate route. This is a rain or shine event.
