DERBY – Derby Public Library announces its 2023 Summer Reading Kickoff Event for adults, teens and kids on the front lawn of the Derby Public Library on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10 am – 1 pm.
Sign up for the DPL Summer Reading Program and a get a Gift Bag, Summer Reading Bingo Card, and earn a ticket for our gift basket drawings and our end of the summer grand prize. There will be fun and games on the front lawn for the whole family including: Cornhole, Badminton, Toss Across, Giant Jenga, Hopscotch, Connect Four, Ring Toss, Hula Hooping, Sidewalk Chalk Drawing, a special art project with Lisa Lupa and more!
There will also be light snacks and cupcakes to celebrate the birthday of Harcourt Wood, the young boy for whom the library was originally dedicated.
