
Three more people tested positive for COVID-19 within the Derby public school system, according to a notification from the district Sunday.
A student who attends Derby High School tested positive, according to a letter from Superintendent Matthew Conway. That student has been learning remotely since Dec. 9.
A ‘contract service member’ from the district’s “RAISE” Academy tested positive, as has a staff member from Irving School. The Irving School staffer was last in the building on Dec. 11.
At the end of last week Derby schools said nine staffers at Bradley School were out with COVID-19.
All Derby schools are on remote learning though Dec. 23, and then winter break starts.
According to the district’s COVID-19 dashboard, 47 staffers district wide are currently in quarantine or have called out, along with 72 students. As of Monday, Dec. 21, 15 staffers district wide are currently COVID-19 positive, along with two students.
