A group of second graders at Bradley School in Derby decided to help their neighbors in need.
When given options to celebrate the 100th day of school, the students in Elizabeth White’s class unanimously decided to set a class goal of collecting 100 non-perishable food items for those less fortunate.
These determined students exceeded that goal and plans to incorporate the entire school next year.
Food collected was donated to the Spooner House in order to replenish the food pantry feeding the lower valley.
