The Derby Middle School Cross Country team participated in the Habitat for Humanity’s Run for Home 5K Saturday (Oct. 6).
‘Rachel Fleischer, Steven Stanley, Akshar Patel, and Nicolette Tasi finished first in their age/gender divisions, with Kiley Rodriguez second and Nicole Rizzo third.
Running in their first road race were Jay Patel, Tristan Pruzinsky, and Nicholas Mammano. Joseph Mammano ran a personal record time.
The DMS Cross Country team is advised by Mike Gozzo, Shelley Sheridan, and Jenny Ames, all Derby Public School educators.
