DERBY — The Derby High School Girls Volleyball team won their first game in the program’s history on Tuesday, besting Wilby 3 – 0.
The Derby volleyball players are in their inaugural season, as the program is new to Derby High School.
From Wilby: Michaela McMahon had 4 assists and 1 ace, while Danielle Pottinger had 3 aces and 1 kill. From Derby: junior Brianna Kling had 11 aces and 9 assists, and ninth-grader Melanie
Fearon had 6 kills and 6 digs.The Derby High School Girls Volleyball team is scheduled to take on Wolcott on Thursday.
The team is coached by Joshua Dydyn.
