DERBY — City officials, including Mayor Joseph DiMartino, recently welcomed Cosmic Black Cat, a mystical shop, to 21 Minerva St.
Sandra Klavins owns the shop, which opened in April.
According to Klavins, Cosmic Black Cat is more than a retail space— it’s a curated mystical experience.
“The shop offers a wide selection of crystals, candles, incense, handcrafted jewelry, metaphysical books, air plants, artisanal coffee and chocolate, gifts, and much more. The shop also serves as an inviting place for psychic readings, metaphysical classes, workshops, and community events that nurture connection, learning, and personal growth,” the owner said in a prepared statement.
“This ribbon cutting represents more than opening our doors — it marks the beginning of a renewed spirit in Derby,” Klavins said. “We’re thrilled to welcome everyone into our whimsical world.”
