DERBY — Three-term Mayor Richard Dziekan took to Facebook Friday to say farewell to residents.
Friday, Dec. 1 was Dziekan’s last day as Derby mayor.
Joseph DiMartino is scheduled to take the oath of office at a ceremony at Derby High School on Saturday (Dec. 2). Click here for details.
Dziekan posted the following:
“I want to thank Pat, City Hall facility manager , for taking the first photo of me in Dec 2017 when I took over as Mayor. Today is my last day as Mayor. Pat took this photo also. It’s been a great honor and privilege to serve the people of Derby. I am very proud of my accomplishments. I’m leaving Derby better than how I found it. Take care of everyone.”
