Luther’s Garage and Webster Bank in Shelton are teaming up to collect new, unwrapped toys for Valley children in need.
Between now and December 20th, donations may be dropped off at either location during their regular business hours. Luther’s is located at 5 White Street. Webster Bank is located at 502 Howe Avenue, both in Shelton.
Immediately following this community drive, both locations will start collecting stuffed monkeys for the 5th Annual Monkey Love Valentine Drive through February 10.
Last year, over 2,300 plush monkeys were collected and shared with non-profit organizations in the Valley and area who service abused, neglected, impoverished children and children in need.
In addition, 500 stuffed monkeys were donated to Griffin Hospital in Derby and 500 to the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital in New Haven.
Gift cards are also welcome as donations.
