On Sunday, June 29, nearly a dozen drum corps will play at the Barnum Festival at Shelton High School. The lineup includes the Connecticut Hurricanes from Seymour.

Drum Corps International (DCI) is a non-profit organization that seeks to “bring the life-enriching benefits and enjoyment of marching music performing arts to more people worldwide,” according to a mission statement on their website.
There are two DCI corps in Connecticut: the Hurricanes, in Seymour, and 7th Regiment, in New London.
Valley Thunder is a smaller ensemble composed of Hurricanes members.
