Crash Triggers Arrest

A 38-year-old Shelton man was charged with driving under the influence Thursday.

According to a report from the Seymour Police Department, officers were sent to West Street after receiving a report of a rollover car crash.

The driver, George Moura, was subsequently charged with failure to drive right, operating with a suspended license, failure to maintain insurance, failure to return a suspended license or registration, second-degree threatening and refusing to be fingerprinted.

Moura was released on a $2,000 bond pending a Dec. 6 court date in Superior Court in Derby.

Weed

Police charged a 26-year-old Ansonia man with marijuana possession Friday.

Joshua Good is free on a $5,000 bond pending a Dec. 6 court date, according to a report from the Seymour Police Department.

Good was charged after police stopped his vehicle on Broad Street. He was also charged with possession of marijuana within 1,500 of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper number of headlights.
