DWI Checkpoint In Seymour

The Seymour Police Department will conduct a DWI Sobriety Check Point on the Route 67 corridor within the Town of Seymour beginning at 7 p.m. Friday Dec. 18 and ending at 3 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 19.

Officers will be checking for operators of motor vehicles who may be under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.

The Sobriety Check Point is partly funded from a grant that the Seymour Police Department received from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program.

Besides the use of Sobriety Check Points the grant also helps pay for additional officers to patrol the streets throughout the year looking for drivers who may be operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
