Chris Friend, Life Scout of Troop 19 Shelton, is running a food drive until July 30 for his Eagle Scout project.
There are donation bins at the following locations in Shelton:
Newtown Savings Bank 815 Bridgeport Ave (5 Guys/Brugger Bagels plaza)
C&C Family Auto Mechanics- 5 White Street
St. Margaret Mary Church -50 Donovan Lane off Long Hill Rd
Items need to be non-perishable (examples – canned veggies, canned meat, peanut butter, pasta) or personal hygiene items.
Chris was able to expand the storage area with 27 feet of new shelving he was able to purchase with money from donations.
