Shelton elementary schools will be dismissed early Thursday because of the heat.
Perry Hill School, Shelton Intermediate School and the high school will remain at full-day sessions.
The district posted an announcement on its website this morning notifying parents.
The note said:
Due to the excessive heat forecast for today, all Shelton elementaries will close at 1:00 PM. No AM or PM kindergarten or Pre‑k. Parochial schools will dismiss at their early dismissal times. Perry Hill, Shelton Intermediate, and Shelton High will have full day sessions.
