Election Day Is Tuesday. Tell Your Friends

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 2 and The Valley Indy has provided more local election-related content than ever before.

This year all candidates for office in Ansonia, Derby & Seymour had the chance to tell the public through this publication to why they were running and what they hoped to accomplish.

SEYMOUR VOTERSGUIDE

Both mayoral candidates in Derby appeared in separate, unscripted video interviews for about 30 minutes.

Candidates for Aldermen in Ansonia had the chance to sit down for virtual interviews, totaling nearly two hours of unfiltered discussion — allowing the public to see the candidates with their own eyes, free from the facade of political mailers or the echo chamber of Facebook post propaganda.

Candidates for office — ranging from the Derby Board of Aldermen to the Seymour Board of Assessment Appeals — had the chance to submit written biographical information so the public could learn about the names on those ubiquitous political lawn signs.

The Valley Indy’s three voters’ guides also contain information on sample ballots, polling locators and frequently asked question.
