Energy Audit Fundraiser For Shelton Robotics Team

The Shelton High School FIRST Robotics Team, which progressed to the next round of an international competition last week, continues to foster its mission of promoting science and technology in the community by sponsoring a unique fundraising opportunity to offset costs associated with this year’s competition. The team is organizing a Home Energy Audit fundraiser and it is a deal that is too good to resist!

For $75.00, Victory Energy Solutions, in partnership with the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, will spend three to four hours in your home assessing your energy-saving needs and updating the energy efficiency of your house, and the team will receive a $50 rebate from the fund.

Professionals from Victory Energy Solutions will come to your home, by appointment, and provide many services and supplies. Light bulb replacement (up to 25 new CFL bulbs), window sealing and caulking, door frame sealing, air duct efficiency, pipe insulation wrap, spray foam insulation sealant, appliance efficiency report card, and water saver shower heads and faucet aerators are all included FREE as a part of the energy audit.

Homeowners can receive over $750 worth of products and services for only $75 — and the Shelton Robotics Team will receive a $50 rebate from the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund for every energy audit completed. A win-win for everyone!

How can this be financially possible?

The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund uses money from every kilowatt hour purchased in Connecticut to subsidize the financial end of this project. Consumers in Connecticut are already paying for a portion of this service through their monthly electric bill. Here is an opportunity to reduce monthly utility bills, along with reducing heating and air conditioning costs forever! The energy professionals that come to your home are not salesmen. Their purpose is to help you reduce your energy use and save you money. The average homeowner audit results in a 7 to 15 percent reduction in heat and utility costs.

Additionally, the investment will help spread the message of FIRST Robotics through your support of the Shelton High School FIRST Robotics team.
