Sara Parker, 3, of Derby, doesn’t seem to like the “Soil Moist” material used to make “living necklaces” last week at Opie’s World, a special event at the Maltby Lakes Recreation Area on the Orange/West Haven town line organized and hosted by the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA).
The purpose of the event was to give families an appreciation for nature and the value of protecting the environment. Sara and her Mom, Beth Parker, were at the event for the second consecutive year.
