DERBY —Police posted a message on social media Wednesday warning motorists to expect delays Thursday (Sept. 26) on Roosevelt Drive between the Derby-Shelton bridge and North Avenue (Dew Drop Inn).
The city’s Water Pollution Control Authority is replacing a major pump station on Roosevelt Drive. The project is expected to be finished in a few weeks.
“Due to ongoing construction (beginning at 5:00am and concluding at approximately 6:00pm), there will only be one lane open allowing for alternating traffic flow. Roosevelt Drive (Route 34) will remain OPEN but expect some delays. Thank you for your patience,” police said.
