Fairfield Man Faces Weapons Charge After Domestic Incident

ANSONIA — Police arrested a 27-year-old Fairfield man after he allegedly shot a parked car.

Taykwan Williamson was charged with unlawful discharge of a weapon, carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree breach of peace.

Police said they responded to a report of a domestic domestic with shots fired on Prospect Street on May 30. Two people told police Williamson kicked in a door at the residence, then, as he was leaving, allegedly shot a woman’s vehicle twice.

Police said Williamson is the father of the woman’s child.

Williamson was arrested on a warrant police obtained after the incident. He was arraigned in court on June 6, released after posting a $150,000 bond, and is due back in court July 18.
