Family Sues Derby Nurse For ‘Potentially Deadly’ Prescribing

A family from Meriden is suing the a high-prescribing Derby nurse who admitted taking kickbacks from a drug company, the Connecticut Health Investigative Team is reporting.

Joseph Torchia’s family claims nurse practitioner Heather Alfonso’s rampant overprescribing of narcotics contributed to his death.
