ANSONIA-SEYMOUR — PLEASE NOTE THE ORGANIZERS CHANGED THE DATE OF THE SHOW TO SUNDAY, JULY 11.
On Monday, Seymour First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis, state Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria and Ansonia Mayor David Cassetti announced that a fireworks show has been scheduled for the night of July 9 July 11 at Fountain Lake, Route 334. The rain date is July 18.
They suggest viewing locations from both towns, including the Assumption School parking lot in Ansonia, Nolan Filed in Ansonia, Tri-Town Plaza in Seymour, the Comcast property (UPDATE: DON’T GO TO THE COMCAST PROPERTY, IT’S PRIVATE PROPERTY) in Seymour, and others.
The trio claim the Seymour-Ansonia show will be more spectacular than the annual Fourth of July show offered by Derby-Shelton.
In an email, Mayor Cassetti said the City of Ansonia has received donations totaling $9,500 for the show.
