The Oxford Parks and Recreation Commission and The Seymour Fish and Game Club will once again be co-hosting the annual children’s Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, May 14 at Kirk’s Pond on Route 67, next to town hall.
There’s no need to pre-register, you may register when you arrive on the day of the event.
Fishing will begin at 7 a.m. sharp, so be sure to arrive a little bit early. Prizes will be available for various age categories up to age 13. All prizes will be awarded at 10 a.m. and you must be present at that time to accept your award. This event is free for all Oxford children.
Parents may supervise but please be aware that this is intended to be a children’s fishing event. Any adults fishing will be asked to leave. The Fishing Rodeo will take place, rain or shine. Assorted sinkers will be given to the first 100 kids to register. Refreshments will also be served.
