Five people were sent to the hospital after a head-on crash on Route 67 Saturday.
Police said a person driving a 2006 Audi A4 failed to negotiate a curve in the road between Silvermine Road and Cogwheel Lane. The Audi crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2001 Honda Civic head on.
Two people in the Civic were injured, including the driver, who was listed in critical condition as of Saturday night. The Honda’s occupants had to be freed from the car using the jaws of life.
The driver of the Audi and two children in the car were also hospitalized, police said.
Names were not released.
The crash happened at about 3 p.m.
Route 67 was closed for two hours. Police are investigating and no charges were filed as of Saturday night.
