Forum On Wildlife Law Scheduled In Derby

The Department of Environmental Protection is holding an open forum in Derby this month to discuss proposed changes to the state’s wild animal regulations.

Following the 2009 chimp attack in Stamford, the DEP has been charged to adjust existing regulations related to possession of wild animals in the state.

The open forum in Derby will be held at the Kellogg Environmental Center from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Input from the forum will help guide the changes made to wild animal regulations.

Any members of the public who are interested, but cannot attend the forum, may submit written comments.
