Informational meeting Sunday May 15 for participating/volunteering
The Huntington Congregational Church UCC will sponsor a local Valley Refugee Resettlement Project, toward relocating refugee families in the Lower Naugatuck Valley region.
The effort is led by members of the Huntington Church as well as the Valley community.
A public informational meeting is scheduled for May 15 at 1 PM at the church hall at 19 Church Street on the Huntington Green in Shelton.
Area residents interested in supporting the effort are encouraged to attend. A presentation will be given by Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS), in which the process and experience will be explained. IRIS assists vetted refugees and immigrants to establish new lives, regain hope, and contribute to the vitality of Connecticut’s communities.
