ANSONIA — Democratic Aldermen candidates John Feddern, Gary Farrar, Brian Perkins, and Rohan Brown have all received the endorsement of the Western Connecticut Chapter (WCALF) of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), which represents 80 local public and private sector unions and over 200,000 active union members in the state from the private sector, public sector, and building trades. The Western Connecticut Chapter represents workers from 72 cities and towns, including Ansonia.
“We are excited and honored to have the endorsement of the Western Connecticut Chapter of CT’s AFL-CIO, whose members are our neighbors. We believe that hardworking men and women deserve a fair shake and the ability to make a decent living to support their families. We hope to represent our local AFL-CIO members and all in our community as city legislators in the aldermen chamber, working together to build a prosperous Ansonia that cares about good paying jobs and economic stability for hard working families,” the candidates said in a joint statement.
