Four Shelton Homes Burglarized

Police are looking for two men they believe went on a burglary spree in the southern portion of Shelton Thursday.

In all, four homes were reported broken into between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The suspects fled in a stolen red Nissan Maxima, with license plate 973-MPY, police said.

No one was injured in the break-ins, but police said the suspects tried to drive into one homeowner’s car when the woman returned home as the suspects were leaving.

They almost rammed her vehicle,” said Detective Ben Trabka. She’s OK.”

The suspects drove into Stratford, where police there chased them into Bridgeport before losing the car, Trabka said.

Trabka said the Shelton break-ins happened on Nature Lane, Spoke Drive and South Constitution Boulevard.

The homeowners reported missing jewelry from their homes. The suspects are described as two black males.

Obviously we want residents to report any suspicious activity immediately,” Trabka said. Don’t hesitate.”

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call the Shelton Police Department at (203) 924‑1544.
