Free Program Features Highlights Of Connecticut’s 169 Towns

SEYMOUR — Get some ideas for your next Connecticut road trip! Or simply learn some fascinating facts about the communities in our incredibly diverse state at a program hosted by the Seymour Historical Society on Sunday, April 24, at 2 p.m.

Guest speaker Marty Podskoch will draw on the knowledge he gained compiling the book, Connecticut 169 Club: Your Passport & Guide to Exploring Connecticut.” He’ll take audience members off the interstate, onto the back roads and introduce them via PowerPoint photos to a wide variety of historic sites, scenic destinations, iconic downtowns and cool curiosities. Even if you’re the stay-at-home type, you’ll come away with a new appreciate of what makes our state – and its 169 independent towns – so unique and interesting.

The Seymour Historical Society is located at 59 West Street, near the Trinity Episcopal Church. This live program is free and open to the public. Doors open at 1 p.m. for those wishing to reserve good seats. Masks are recommended, but not required.
