Gardening And Composting Program At The Derby Public Library

DERBY — The Derby Public Library will present a gardening and composting program on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 6:30pm.

Advanced Certified Master Gardener Rachel Ziesk, who has been teaching gardening classes for over 10 years, will be the presenter. Rachel will explain seed starting — what to start indoors, direct seed outdoors or plant in the fall.

Another subject to be covered is the basics of composting, a growing trend in many areas.

You can practice these skills later in the free community garden located on the Caroline Street side of the library!

Registration is requested. To sign up or to obtain further information, feel free to contact us at 203 – 736-1482 or derbypubliclibrary.org. Drop-ins are also welcome.
