Pat Gillen, the Shelton wrestler with the most wins in Connecticut history, lost Sunday in the final match of the 215 weight class in the National High School Coaches Association Championship in Virgina Beach, Va.
Gillen was defeated by New York wrestler Nick Gwiazdowski, according to information provided by William Maloney.
Gillen finished this year with a 53 – 1 record. He finishes his career on 204 – 15.
He is a four time All-American and four-time Academic All-American.
