SHELTON – City police accused a 44-year-old Hamden resident of burglary on Oct. 28.
According to a press release from Shelton police, Michael Ramchandani is charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree larceny.
The charges stem from an incident on Oct 15. A River Road resident allegedly interrupted a burglary in progress at his residence.
“The homeowner encountered Ramchandani carrying items out of his home and confronted him. After being confronted Ramchandani fled in his vehicle,” according to the statement.
Police obtained a search warrant for Ramchandani’s residence and vehicle.
“During the search warrants, items stolen during the burglary were recovered,” police said.
Ramchandani is due back in court on Nov. 27.
