ANSONIA — The City of Ansonia has set a tentative schedule for this year’s budget process.

The schedule does not follow the budget process outlined in the city charter, but Mayor David Cassetti’s administration has stated extending deadlines for the city’s budget allows for more concrete numbers. At the same time, the administration is promising no new taxes.

This schedule is not set in stone, but Kurt Miller, the city’s chief financial officer, said agendas for the meetings should be finalized by the end of the week.

The city is scheduled to return to in-person meetings in April, the administration has previously stated.
