History Center Program Looks To 1913

Look back at Shelton and the world 100 years ago with the Shelton Historical Society April 21 at the Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster St.

The event takes place at 1 p.m. Admission is $5.

Learn how the City looked and functioned and meet some of the people who made decisions that affect our community today.

What did some of the important national issues mean for our town and the lives of its residents 100 years ago?

You’ll find out when you hear direct quotations by the reporters from the Shelton Times, a weekly community newspaper, and the Evening Sentinel, a daily newspaper that covered news throughout the Valley.

Presented by volunteers and friends of the Shelton Historical Society.

Refreshments based on 1913 recipes.
