Police said a man with a gun robbed Hollywood Video at 403 Main St. Tuesday night.
Lt. Wayne Williams said a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and fled with an unspecified amount of cash.
The suspect is light-skinned black male. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, jeans and work boots.
The suspect was last seen running south on Main Street.
Police received the report at 7:21 p.m.
Police canvassed the area in an attempt to track the robber down — a canine unit from Seymour was used in the search.
However, the suspect managed to elude capture.
The investigation is being handled by the detective bureau.
