The holiday season is upon us and Toys 4 Kids has begun for the community!
TEAM Toys 4 Kids is the largest holiday toy drive in the region; toys are collected for children from infancy to 12 years old who live in Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, Shelton, Orange and Woodbridge.
TEAM has conducted the drive for the past 28 years and last year provided toys to 1,486 children from 771 families.
How To Apply For Toys 4 Kids
Stop by TEAM’s office on 30 Elizabeth Street, Derby to pick up application forms. The sign up period ends on Dec. 13.
Documentation for enrollment requires the child’s birth certificate, proof of residence and proof of household income.
Toys 4 Kids application hours are daily 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
After the application is received, each family obtains a day/time to visit the “toy store” in Ansonia during mid December for toy selection.
To Donate A Toy For Toys 4 Kids
There are many locations collecting toys for the program.
Donations can be brought to TEAM’s office on 30 Elizabeth St in, Derby or at one of the following Toys 4 Kids community events (all are open to the public):
