Impaled Dog Rescued From Woods In Oxford

A dog was pierced by a tree branch deep in the woods of Oxford Wednesday.

A man and his dog were walking in the woods when the dog ran into a large branch, according to a story on Oxford Patch.

The accident happened somewhere between Kettletown State Park in Southbury and Oxford’s Jackson Cove Park.

The man called 911 for help while carrying his injured pet out of the woods. Firefighters responded, found the pair by zeroing in on the man’s cell phone, and took the dog to a vet.
