Inauguration Ceremonies Scheduled In Ansonia, Derby & Seymour

With the election season over, the winning candidates are scheduled to take their oaths of office at upcoming ceremonies.

In Ansonia, Mayor David Cassetti won his fifth, two-year term on Nov. 2. He is scheduled to be sworn-in during a ceremony at Ansonia High School starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28. Ansonia High School is at 20 Pulaski Highway.

In Derby, Mayor Rich Dziekan won his third, two-year term on Nov. 2. He is scheduled to take the oath of office, along with all other Derby winning candidates, at a ceremony scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 in the Derby High School auditorium. The high school is at 73 Chatfield St. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

In Seymour, First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis was elected to her first, full, two-year term Nov. 2 after being appointed to the position in October 2020. An inauguration ceremony for Drugonis and her fellow elected officials is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 at the Seymour Middle School auditorium, 211 Mountain Road.
