In Seymour, police arrested a 37-year-old Ansonia man for allegedly having cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia.

On Saturday at about 11:30 p.m., Seymour police pulled over Edward Hardison for having broken tail lamps on his car.

Police said the car also had no rear registration plate lights working, and no front license plate displayed.

Hardison was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with an officer, assaulting a police officer, tampering with evidence and two counts of possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of a school.

Hardison was held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 12.

Further details were unavailable. A call seeking information with Lt. Paul Satkowski was not returned.

Ansonia

Ansonia police also made drug arrests after motor vehicle stops.

On Sept. 3 at 7:37 p.m., Ansonia police pulled over Bridgeport resident Jose Osorio, 37, for missing tail lamps.

He was also charged with possession of narcotics, and possession within 1,500 feet of a school, misuse of a license plate, failure to have insurance, and operating an unregistered car.

Ansonia police also made other drug arrests over the weekend.

After a report of suspicious activity on North Main Street at 8 p.m. Friday night, police arrested Robert William Dojnia, a 54-year-old Seymour resident, for allegedly possessing narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with an officer.

Police responded to a call on Birmingham Boulevard in Ansonia, and arrested two Oxford residents for possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. The residents were Jeffrey Bailey, 53, and Laura Lyons, 37 both of Cedar Lane in Oxford.
